Plastic furniture is easy to look after, but a few habits make the difference between three years of use and ten.
Regular Cleaning
Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are enough. Avoid abrasive powders and solvents: they dull the surface and, over time, make it hold dirt more easily.
Winter Storage
Furniture left outdoors through winter suffers more from standing water and ice than from cold itself. Stacking chairs under cover, or at least tilting them so water runs off, prevents most of that damage.
Load and Use
Every model has a load capacity. Standing on a chair or dragging a loaded table across rough ground puts stress on points the design did not plan for. Lifting rather than dragging protects both the legs and the floor.
